Tanner was drawn to venture capital because he loves working with risk-takers early in the creative process. Supporting founders to overcome the odds while building out the Mountain West ecosystem is his favorite part of the job. His background is in building hardware & software products, running data analytics, and leading operating teams. Tanner’s diverse interests have guided him to creating smart home cameras, operating a safari company in Tanzania, and helping craft the NikePlus product strategy. As an investor, he’s particularly interested in marketplaces, consumer products, creator tools, and future of work. Tanner also loves the Jazz, Twitter, and trying to keep up with his wife running, hiking, or skiing.
