Mark Farmer

Mr. Farmer is the Risk Management Director for FJ Management Inc. ("FJM", formerly Flying J Inc.), a privately held holding company. Mr. Farmer is a member of FJM's Investment Committee, and oversees the Enterprise Risk Management function at the FJM companies, which include the Maverik chain of convenience stores, Big West Oil (an independent refiner), and TAB Bank, as well as an investment portfolio.

Mr. Farmer joined the FJM companies in 1998, in the operations division of TCH, a transaction-processing subsidiary. While at TCH, Mr. Farmer established the Quality Assurance department and was a key contributor to major projects with Shell Canada, Irving Oil, and Reliance Industries Limited. In 2005 Mr. Farmer was asked to lead FJM’s alternative investment efforts, establishing two captive insurance companies. In 2007 he was promoted to President of Flying J Insurance Services, FJM’s insurance brokerage. In 2010 Mr. Farmer moved into the corporate office and has held responsibilities as Controller and Acting CFO prior to establishing the Risk Management function.

Mr. Farmer has a BS degree in Accounting from Weber State University, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Utah.

Mr. Farmer has also served as a Board Member of the Morgan School District since 2012. Mr. Farmer currently resides in Morgan, Utah with his wife and four children.
